A sneak peek of some of our artists work
I make my art from a unique vantage point, I’m profoundly colour blind. I spent twenty years teaching art to veterans with visual impairments so I
learned to adapt to my sight. I paint with Acrylics and neat watercolour as the bright colours are more visible to me.
I have been described as pop surrealist in my style of work though if you have an idea for a painting I’m always open for a challenge.
My work has been exhibited in the UK and the USA and I have been shortlisted for the British Art Awards.

Glass has mesmerised me wherever I encountered it.
I trained in the late 1980's as a fine artist and have always drawn, painted, sculpted and challenged myself by extending my practice into almost all areas of art and craft.
Working from my garden studio, I make everything from seasonal ornaments and suncatchers to large projects. Recently I have restored an Arts & Crafts oak framed window, given new life to reclaimed glass from the Palace Pier in Brighton and used recycled timbers from sea defences to make garden sculptures and memorial art pieces.
I am constantly in awe of the world around me and can get very excited about the tiny and the extreme, the plants, the animals, the oceans and all natural landscapes. I enjoy creating these works of art but am always aware of the true Maker of it all. So here is my offering - Made for the Maker.

I started doing this when I was asked to. First a Tolkien style map for my husband’s hobbity parents, then more maps, then animals, then more animals. Families, friends and total strangers have suggested more ideas: their parents in their favourite spot in the garden, a pet cat playing PlayStation, two beloved Shih Tzus begging to go on holiday. Steadily a style heavily influenced by nature, stories and people’s idiosyncrasies and charm emerged and people kept asking for more. I’ve also just illustrated my first book too!
So here I am, living in Lewes; a husband, a little one, an acting career & plenty of illustrating to keep me busy. I love drawing on people’s characters to illustrate their ideas, thoughts and memories. When not doing this, I draw and illustrate my own work. I hope you like it as much as I enjoy doing it.
A place where you can find fluffy pom poms and fun items. Handmade by me to bring smiles in to your lives.
I make these items in my spare time in between my school work and yes, I am a young person. While being at school I noticed a need for some emotional support aids to help with coping in different situations and to just make you smile. That's when my critters and buddies were born.
I love being able to make all my bright and colourful fun buddies, it's a way for me to unwind from the stresses of school.
Very Colourful Jewellery is a vibrant, contemporary collection of unique designer jewellery created to celebrate the joy and impact of colour. Each piece is hand-painted on anodised aluminium and handmade by designer Miranda Peckitt in her workshop in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex. Using specialist inks and dyes for aluminium, Miranda paints directly onto aluminium, embracing the painterly nature of the medium and creates one off pieces. Once painted and the colour sealed in, the aluminium is cut, polished, and formed into jewellery— from bold statement pieces to elegant earrings and bangles. Colour is at the heart of everything VCJ stands for. Whether you're a lifelong colour addict or simply looking to brighten up an outfit, VCJ offers jewellery with a sassy, vibrant look.
I have always been creative and for many years have poured this into my career as a primary teacher. I often made props and teaching aids by hand and ran an after school sewing club. One day, while out with my sister- in- law, she mentioned she needed a new beach bag. I decided to challenge myself to make one. From then on I was hooked on bag making and have developed and refined my skills through making all sorts of bags for my family and friends. I love starting with a piece of fabric and creating something both beautiful and practical. And so, Janorah was born.
After completing a BA Hons degree in Fine Art Painting followed by a Master's Degree in Printmaking, Linda has pursued a career as an artist over the last forty years. She uses the physical landscape and natural forms around her as a starting point for her work but then changes and manipulates her sketchbook images to create a more personal response. Working simultaneously through paint, printmaking and drawing, a body of work is created on a theme.
In Linda's own words:
“ I love exploring an idea through a variety of mediums as this enables me to play with varied textures, colours and marks which then feed off each other in the developing pieces. I rarely know exactly how a piece is going to turn out in the final version and with painting in particular I may spend months repainting a piece until I am happy with the final image. Printmaking by nature is more planned but even here I try to retain an element of surprise and fluidity so that the image doesn't become too contrived and predictable.”
Linda is currently Chair of Chalk Gallery Lewes and also a regular artist at Henry Paddon Gallery in Eastbourne, West End Gallery in Worthing and Uno Gallery in Seaford.
I make jewellery from used tins; the kind used for biscuits, kitchen storage, and cosmetics. I love to hunt for them in charity shops and car boot sales. There are so many beautiful designs, it’s such a shame that so many get thrown away once they’re empty, so the upcycling side really appeals to me. I cut shapes from the tins then sand, hammer, and shape them into something lightweight and wearable.
I also make wrapped rocks, also known as ishi muzubi. It’s a Japanese craft which is a blend of mizuhiki knots and basket weaving, and the resulting decorated stones are often used during meditation as well as being beautiful decorative items. I find the process of making them can be somewhat meditative too, as making the knots takes focus as well as the finished articles being extremely tactile.
